Crowley, founded in 1892, is a privately-held, U.S.-owned and operated logistics, government, marine and energy solutions company headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida. Services are provided worldwide by four primary business units – Crowley Logistics, Crowley (Government) Solutions, Crowley Shipping and Crowley Fuels. Policy excerpts: 6.1 Ship Recycling Facilities must be able to demonstrate compliance with the requirements outlined in the Hong Kong Convention and the Guidelines for Safe and Environmentally Sound Ship Recycling, or at the discretion of SSQE, demonstrate substantial compliance with standards consistent with the Hong Kong Convention Guidelines for Safe and Environmentally Sound Ship Recycling. 6.1.1 Demonstration of compliance may take the form of authorization as a ship recycling facility under the Hong Kong Convention as certified by a Party to the Convention or their designee. 6.1.2 For the purposes of this policy, inclusion on the European List of Ship Recycling Facilities will serve as demonstration of compliance.
